Permission is being sought by a Polish radio station based in London to stage a "family-friendly picnic-style outdoor event" to be attended by over 4,000 people at the Grasshoppers sports ground in Isleworth.

"Piknik Radia PRL London Spark" is to be organised by London Spark with Polish Radio London it is primarily aimed at the Polish community.

Taking place on Sunday 8 June with activities running from 11am to 6pm it will be a ticket only event which will include live music performances on stage, children's attractions like bouncy castles and face painting, food vendors, and traders selling arts, crafts, and traditional products.

There will be amplified sound but the organisers say this will be limited to 65dB at 1 meter from the nearest dwelling and they will be employing a sound engineer to monitor levels.

The event could lead to increased traffic in the area, especially during setup, the event itself, and breakdown. The organisers have a traffic management plan involving designated traffic managers and marshals to control vehicle movement and ensure emergency vehicle access.

Security personnel will be present and, although alcohol would be sold, as the event is family focused this is expected to contribute to a well-behaved crowd.

There is also a plan to hold the Turf Games festival later in the month of June which is expected to attract similar sized crowds.
