There was some encouragement for local estate agents this month with a small recovery in the number of property sales in May. 14 homes were reported by the Land Registry to have changed hands.

In addition there were no sales in Wallis House this month. This development has made up over half the properties sold in several of the months so far this year.

For London has a whole the average property price for May was £296,938 down by 0.1% on the previous month and 15.6% over the year. This was the thirteenth month in a row that prices have fallen.
