Market remains very quiet during the month
The Brentford property market remained quiet in April with only 10 sales recorded. The average sale price of a property in Brentford during the first three months of this year was £214,148 down by 34.7% on the same period in 2008. However, given the low number of transactions and the absence of any house sales, how representative this figure is can be questioned. The Land Registry data for March for the country as a whole shows an annual house price change of -16.2%. This brings price levels back to those seen in August 2004. For London as a whole the Land Registry index shows the average price for April at £297,155 down 0.2% on the previous month and down by 15.7% on the year. Prices have fallen for the last twelve months. The numbers quoted are based on Land Registry data.
