Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee To deal with issues specifically related to the Brentford area there is a local committee made up principally of councillors that meets on a regular basis. The Brentford and Isleworth Area Committee has devolved powers from the Hounslow Council to make policy specific to the area. These powers include the ability to decide on smaller residential and commercial planning matters. The committee also has a budget for environmental and transport improvements. There is an open forum at these meetings in which you can raise a matter of local concern by filling out a form prior to the meeting. The Area Committee meets to discuss planning issues at the Brentford and Isleworth Area Planning Committee meetings. Details of forthcoming meetings and minutes of previous meetings can be found here. Other relevant matters, including policing, education etc, are discussed at the Brentford and Isleworth Monitoring Committee. Details of meetings and minutes can be found here.
