Local artist Sam Dodson, who works from Johnsons Island is holding a exhibition in a pub as part of this weekend’s Creative Mile Event.

Displays for his collages can be seen in The Brook Pub on Brook Road South TW8 throughout September. Everyone is welcome to view the works during opening hours at The Brook (open Wednesday to Sunday).

In addition, Sam will be doing a "meet the artist" session on Sunday 5 September at 7pm.

Sam Dodson is a professional artist and former musician in Loop Guru and the Transmitters. His art explores collage in varying forms with intervention and construction and have been featured in over ten Dada and Surrealism books and magazines as well as album sleeves.

He has had pieces exhibited twice at the Saatchi Gallery and has also been involved in a project called fivers4artistic alongside such luminaries as Sir Peter Blake, Gilbert and George, Ralph Steadman and Damien Hirst.

The Creative Mile involves the creation of a Brentford Art Trail, a sign-posted one-mile pedestrian route that connects 8 art venues exhibiting over 50 artists including painters, ceramicists, printmakers, and sculptors.
