Revised Kew Bridge Plans To Be Discussed

Developers St George bow to public pressure over building height

Smaller buildings, greater access to the Thames and roof gardens are amongst the changes announced by St George to the proposed Kew Bridge development.

Smaller buildings, greater access to the Thames and roof gardens are amongst the changes announced by St George to the proposed Kew Bridge development.
Earlier this year, many unhappy local residents expressed their disappointment at the proposed design. The latest plans, which will be discussed by local councillors on Thursday 25th, seem to have gone some way to meet these objections. The changes include
  • a reduction in the number of housing units (250 instead of 263)
  • a wider path alongside the riverside
  • three stories instead of five at the riverfront aspect
  • a new public square
  • five stories along Kew Bridge Road instead of eight
  • totally new design to the front aspect
