Bees Fans Tired and Emotional

Victory soothes the pain of sponsored walk

Thirty Brentford supporters are nursing sore feet as well as sore heads following their match at Wycombe Wanderers.

A group of Bees fans walked the thirty miles from Griffin park to Wyconmbe's ground, raising money for Bees United, the Supporter's Trust that aims to take full control of the club.

It is the third year in succession that supporters have completed the sponsored walk, raising hundreds of pounds for the Trust. John McGlashan, Chair of Bees United, told BrentfordTW8.com: "This just shows the lengths that people will go to help our dream of supporters' ownership and control become a reality."

The walkers' spirits were lifted near the end of the match when Brentford's Jay Tabb scored to send the Bees home 2 - 1 winners.
