Eric Salama attacked in Royal Parade Kew last year

An 18-year-old male from Brentford has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a company chief executive in Kew last year.

57-year-old Eric Salama who runs global market research firm Kantar TNS had to be rushed to hospital after receiving a knife wound on Royal Parade at 7.54am on 20 January 2019. His injuries were found to be not life-threatening.

Mr Salama, who is also a trustee of the British Museum, had been chatting with staff at a café when he returned to his car finding someone attempting to steal it. He was then stabbed in the chest and had to crawl back to the café to get help.

Isaac Musoke was arrested on Thursday, 9 July on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but later released on bail pending further enquiries.

This Tuesday (20 October) he was subsequently charged on Tuesday, 20 October with attempted robbery and Section 18 grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 21 October.
