Thieves make off with £30,000 from Group 4 Security van
A gang armed with a hand held pistol stole boxes of cash believed to contain between £20,000-£30,000 from Group 4 security van. Police were called to the Shell petrol garage at Gillette Corner by the van’s driver at 11.15am on Wednesday 16th April. The driver explained how, after he had pulled up beside the cash machine store by the exit of the forecourt, a black Audi parked directly next to the security van. As the driver and passenger of the security van made their way between the van and the cash room store with cash boxes, four suspects are believed to have launched an attack. Armed with a hand held pistol, the suspects reportedly forced the security personnel into the cash storeroom and ‘within seconds’ made off with the cash boxes via the A4 west bound towards Heathrow. All four suspects were black males dressed in black clothes and scarves. April 25, 2008 |
