Aside from the festival itself, Junction 2 Festival is aspiring to have a positive impact on the local community around Boston Manor Park.

There will be 50 pairs of tickets given out to local residents to encourage cohesion between the festival and those in the local community. In order to enter, entrants must email lottery@junction2.london, with the winners drawn on 10th May 2017.

In addition, the festival will also be fundraising for local charity Nature Links through guestlist donations.

Nature Links is a fun, educational, fully inclusive forest school and outdoor learning provider, operating in the London Borough of Hounslow. Driven by a passion to promote the health and wellbeing of Hounslow's youngest residents, Nature Links works with local schools and hosts popular outdoor community playgroup events to encourage families to explore local green spaces together.

Through their outdoor play sessions, inspired by the Forest School approach, Nature Links uses allocated spaces within Hounslow borough to create community learning spaces that encourage families to be active, connect with local nature and with their neighbours. The Forest School approach raises self esteem and confidence by providing opportunities for child led play and discovery learning in nature. Spending time outside has been proven to have benefits for mental, emotional and physical health and wellbeing.

Nature Links will use the donation to update their adventure kit and continue their mission through providing more outdoor play opportunities for the boroughs residents.
