Enjoy a fabulous afternoon out at the magnificent Grade I listed Syon House in all its neo-classical splendour with a talk by the antique expert Paul Martin, presenter of BBC’s "Flog It!" and Channel 5’s "The Great Auction Showdown”. During the day on Thursday 20 April, Paul Martin will host a talk in the neoclassical Great Hall designed by Robert Adam, followed by a house tour and then tea and cakes and book signing in the Great Conservatory, bringing history alive in one of the country’s finest stately homes. The London home of the Dukes of Northumberland, (the Percy family), Syon House was erected in 1547 with a classical interior designed by Robert Adam in the 1760s and a 200 acres parkland designed by the landscape designer Lancelot Capability Brown. Syon House is less than 10 miles from central London and remains a beacon of tranquillity. It is one of Britain's best preserved stately homes.
