Reports Suggest Berkeley Has Acquired Skoda Dealership Site

The possibility of the Berkeley Group development increasing even more in size has arisen with the possibility of an adjacent site being incorporated.
The West London Skoda dealership in on a site adjacent to the Homebase site on which the developer is proposing a massive mixed-use scheme incorporating housing and the Tesco store relocated from Osterley.
Local reports suggest that Berkeley has acquired this site and is intending to incorporate it into the development.
The plot is about a tenth of the size of the adjacent plot but it is believed that, should planning permission be granted for the Homebase application, the precedent would have been set for building a tower of up to 17 storeys high on this site.
When we asked Berkeley if they now owned the site their spokesperson said they did not wish to comment on the matter at this time.
The Osterley & Wyke Green Residents' Association (OWGRA) said it was unaware of who owned the site.
The formal applications for the two huge developments which will include 2,000 housing units have been submitted to Hounslow Council.

The documents relating to the application have been published on the OWGRA web site to make them easier to access than they currently are on the council’s site.
The reference numbers for the applications are Homebase site P/2020/3099, Tesco site P/2020/3100.
