What is the happening with major developments as of May
Old Police Station , Half Acre (P/2017/3371) and Watermans and Max Factor "Albany Riverside" (P/2017/3372). APPROVED + APPEAL Two planning applications from London Green were approved in 2018 for193 flats on the Watermans/Max Factor site and the replacement of Watermans (of similar size to existing) plus 105 flats at the Police Station. Further details of the proposals can be found here . The proposal for the Watermans site was called in by the Secretary of State in April 2018 As Hounslow approved it and Historic England objected because of visual impact from its height and massing from Kew Gardens. The inquiry was scheduled to begin on 28 April 2020 but it has been postponed with no revised date fixed. Morrisons supermarket site, L&Q - DECISION PENDING L&Q submitted their revised application for non-material amendment to number of dwellings (reduced from 221 to 215), dwelling mix, design etc. in August P/2019/2892. Expected to be recommended for approval and to go to Planning Committee in the near future. Ballymore - Brent Works , Catherine Wheel Road (P/2020/0273) - PERMISSION GRANTED
O’Riordans Tavern , 3 High Street, TW8 0DX (REFUSED) A revised planning application ( P/2020/1254) was submitted in April for a three-storey building to create four new dwellings. Royal Mail Delivery Office , 50 London Road, TW8 8AP - DECISION PENDING Royal Mail's lease on this property will end in June 2021. A planning application (P/2020/1361) was received on 23 April. This is for 69 flats with a target of 40% affordable units, arranged in three blocks up to 6 storeys plus ground floor. Flexible workspace units would be provided at ground floor level. Ballymore site, land south of the High Street (P/2012/2735). - IN CONSTRUCTION A detailed permission for Blocks B, C and K and an outline permission for the remainder of the site was approved in April 2015. A Compulsory Purchase Order was approved in March 2018.The development will comprise a mix of 867 residential units, commercial, retail and parking. The car park in Dock Road (Block G) was approved at Planning Committee on 1st August 2019 , subject to the completion of agreements. A planning permission has yet to be issued. See outline timetable. A planning application (P/2020/1335) for “non-material amendments” to the approved scheme for Bocks B, C, and K was submitted in April. These amendments arise largely from the needs of a potential occupier of the supermarket on Block B. These include an upward revision of about 400 sq. m. in the gross area of the supermarket. Plans for the provision of a cinema on the ground floor of Block C appear to be firming up. A separate planning application for St Lawrence's Church and cemetery is expected to be submitted in May which will include change of use for the church and the building of a block of 18 flats in the SE corner of the cemetery. These proposals are the subject of a current community consultation be Ballymore. Orion Heritage have found some Roman archaeology behind the County Parade. Brentford Community Stadium , Lionel Road South, TW8 9QR - IN CONSTRUCTION The construction of the new stadium for Brentford FC is nearing completion. Outline permission for 910 residential flats was approved in December 2015 (P/2013/1811). A further application (P/2017/3891) was approved in December 2017 giving 740 flats full planning permission. The capacity of the Stadium will be 17,250 and Brentford FC will play their matches there from the beginning of the 2020/21 season. At the same time London Irish will move from Reading to their new home rugby ground at the Stadium Brentford FC have now confirmed that they are unable to say when their new stadium will be fully completed because of the coronavirus lockdown.
