Venue makes challenge of bringing in £60,000
November 3, 2023 The Musical Museum in Brentford is in its sixtieth year of existence and has launched a fundraising drive to mark this milestone. Started in 1963 by Frank Holland MBE it was originally known as the British Piano Museum. The Diamond Jubilee Anniversary campaign, which begins this month, will seek donations and sponsorships as well as holding a raffle to get things started. A new donations and legacy leaflet has been issued explaining how people can support the venue now or in the future. It has recently received a bequest from the late Miss Lilian Lewry, a former volunteer. Steve Barrett-White – Chairman, Operations & Commercial Director, said, “Fundraising and income from grants will be vital to the survival of the Musical Museum. We are imaginative in the way we raise income and work hard to be sustainable, but we need a little help from others too.” An easy way to donate is via the Museum’s website.
