Comment on this story on the

Brentford missed the chance to close the gap on Wycombe after drawing 2-2 at Lincoln on a fairly icy pitch.

Andy Scott later commented that the game shouldn't have gone ahead, but Beesotted's men on the scene reckoned that it was the decision to try and defend a 2-1 lead that arguably cost us the match - although a missed open goal from Charlie Macdonald didn't help either.

Brentford went behind early on, but recovered well with goal from Marcus Bean and a Dean Bowditch wonderstrike in what might be his last game for the club due to his loan ending. Talks are underway to keep him at Griffin Park but Andy Scott commented "I'd love to keep him here but it's not all down to me.... and there are financial implications".

With Alan Bennett suspended, John Halls filled in at centre half and Glen Poole came in for Marvin Williams who failed a late fitness test. New signing David Hunt later replaced Poole - and by all accounts has an incredibly long throw that might cause some problems now that Nathan Elder is back from suspension (are we the new Stoke?)

Lincoln's sending off happened after the second goal and in truth Brentford should have gone on to win, but Lincoln debutant Elding earnt his side a point in difficult conditions. Ben Hamer made some important saves along the way too, so perhaps we should be thankful for an away point.

Bees - Hamer, Osborne, Halls, Phillips, Dickson, Poole (Hunt), SuperKev, Bean, Wood, Bowditch, Macdonald

Subs not used - Simon Brown, Ademola, Newton, Johnson.
