The council will once again be offering a free Christmas tree recycling service for properties using the black wheeled bin service. Please don't block pavements or roads with unwanted Christmas trees - the council will come and collect them from front gardens for free
The trees will all be shredded and turned into compost.

The council will be aiming to collect all unwanted trees from people’s front gardens on their scheduled refuse and recycling collection days between Monday, January 6 and Friday, January 17.

People should make sure that all decorations, pots and stands have been removed and are being reminded that this free service applies only to real trees not artificial ones.

You can also drop your Christmas tree off at designated collection points at:

  • Hanworth Air Park - Car park opposite 158A Hounslow Road TW13 6AA
  • Hounslow Heath - Car park opposite, 495 - 497 Staines Road TW4 5AR 
  • Redlees Park - Worton Road car park (taped area only) TW7 6DW
  • Bedfont Lakes - Clockhouse Lane car park TW14 8QA
  • Gunnersbury Park - Car park via Popes Lane W5 4NH

You can check on which day your Christmas tree will be collected here.

Refuse collection services up to and including Friday, January 10 will be made a day or two later than normal. The usual timetable will be fully restored on Monday, January 13.
