Accor is to open a 4-star 202-bedroom Novotel, which will be operated under a lease agreement with Brentford Hotels, a subsidiary of the Pedersen Group. The Novotel is on the Great West Quarter development, facing onto the Great West Road.

The mid-scale Novotel London Brentford construction started in April this year and is due to open in early 2015. The build consists of a hybrid in-situ and pre-cast concrete frame with a Metsec envelope and brick slip cladding.

Willmott Dixon is the main contractor having also built a new 4-star hotel at London Southend Airport and updating the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge.

Thomas Dubaere, managing director, Accor UK & Ireland said the hotel in Brentford is in an “ideal location” for both business and leisure travellers. “It further strengthens our presence in the Greater London area and is another important step towards growing the UK network.”

The construction is open to the public as part of the Open Doors Weekend over 27-28th September. Built over eight floors, visitors will see conferencing facilities and an Eco themed restaurant and lounge bar take shape. Booking is taking place at Open Doors Weekend
