A chance to view the work of thirty local artists
November 25, 2022 For three days at the beginning of December, Redlees Studios in Isleworth will be throwing open its doors to the public. There will be a chance to enjoy the work of 30 artists in the historic Victorian stables block in Redlees Park. Refreshments, practical demonstrations and free parking will be available. Redlees hosts a diverse group of artists whose work ranges from ceramics and painting to jewellery and textiles and much more. The studios also are the location for community events, workshops and classes. There is an evening viewing on Friday 2 December from 6pm to 9pm and then on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, the studios will be open from 11am to 6pm. Redlees Studios is at Redlees Park, Worton Road Isleworth. For those interested in art in the local area Great West Gallery, has just opened its doors in Market Place Brentford. It aims to champion undiscovered artists and is holding a launch exhibition ‘Motherland’ later in the month. This exhibition and programme of work reveals the early migration experiences of first-generation South-Asian women from Hounslow and other parts of the UK. Marthe Armitage Prints, an artisanal design company specialising in hand-printed wallpapers and screen-printed fabrics, has recently moved to the area.
