Public invited to question Hounslow Council matters of local interest
Residents have the chance to quiz members of Hounslow Council’s Cabinet about council services and local matters at the next Cabinet Question Time event, which will take place on Wednesday 20 February. The Q&A will take place at Brentford School for Girls from 7pm to 9pm (doors open 6.45pm) and attendees can put questions to them on any aspect of their Cabinet portfolios. Cllr Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said;“These events are a great way for us to talk to residents about the local issues that matter to them. We’ve had a fair grilling in the past, and my fellow Cabinet Members and I fully expect to face some challenging questions, but by coming out to the community, it gives us a first-hand, real feel for what people are concerned about. “I hope that we’ll have a good turn-out, and I look forward to seeing as many people as possible at these events, which will be held across the borough over the coming year.”All residents are welcome, and admission will be on a first-come, first-entry basis. Questions will be taken from the floor, but if you wish to submit a question to Cabinet in advance of the event, please send it in to communications@hounslow.gov.uk by Monday 18 February.
