Programme of walks in the Brentford area published
The Hounslow Heritage Guides started its 29th year of local history walks this late May Bank Holiday Monday. Over fifty people came along to find out about some of the people buried in the Graveyard behind All Saints Church and in the Cemetery in Park Road where they have recently restored gates. The next walk will be on Hounslow Heath on Sunday 4 June starting at 2.30pm. It’s a circular walk exploring the sites of army camps and gunpowder mills, the first civil airport and a major haunt of highwaymen. The walks in the Brentford will be starting at 2.30pm from the Market this year 11 June - Brentford Waterways
There is more information about these walks and others in the borough at www.hounslow-heritage.org.uk. All walks can booked as private guided tours as required.
