Discover local heritage on a Sunday afternoon guided walk
Hounslow Heritage Guides hold an annual programme of walks exploring local heritage. These are held on Sundays (and occasional bank holidays) between June and October. All walks start at 2.30pm and cost £3 (children are free) and no booking is required.
All walks are taken at a gentle pace and last under two hours. SEPT 21st: Isleworth Open House Guided walk to discover a recently opened part of the Thames Path while contrasting a variety of working class cottages with grander 18th/19th C properties, one of which was home to artist Vincent Van Gogh. H37 bus to South Street; 267, 110 H20 short walk. 22nd: Brentford Open House The walk starts in the Medieval market place , proceeds through 17C development and 18C housing then explores 19/20C industrial legacy and striking new Thames side regeneration schemes. OCT All walks are circular except those marked +. Once only tours are marked +. They are led by voluntary guides, all members of the Hounslow Heritage Guides Association, now in its 25th year.
