Hounslow Council is urging parents and carers to let them know what they need when it comes to looking after their children.

The council is asking for parents to complete a short survey by Wednesday 30 September as it looks to put together the 2015 annual Childcare Sufficiency Report.

This annual report helps to make sure that there is enough affordable and high quality childcare available and that the duty to secure sufficient childcare from birth to 14 years (and up to 18 years for disabled children) is being met.

Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services, said: “We really need parents and carers to take part in this survey so we can provide childcare services that are really needed and not just those that we think might be needed.

“Good quality, affordable flexible childcare is what every parent wants and this survey helps to ensure our borough’s children have the best possible start in life.”

The survey closes on Wednesday 30 September. Visit www.hounslow.gov.uk/childcaredemand
