Residents have been urged to make their views known on Brentford Marina plans, as the consultation closes on Saturday, 22 November. Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “Our vision to create a marina is part of our plan to regenerate Brentford, creating jobs and prosperity and putting the area firmly on the map as a great place to live and visit in west London. “We want to hear from across the community on their views on these plans which we hope will reap rewards for the whole borough and Brentford.” The plans also relate to the council’s determination to regulate its stretch of the river to control emissions and ensure health and safety compliance. The proposals aim to re-provide 26 moorings in a regulated and legal development to protect the quality of the foreshore and bring about phased improvements to the wider park area. Public exhibitions were hosted at Watermans Art Centre to display the preferred option approved on 9 September cabinet meeting at Hounslow Council.
