Seventies style lounge bar is within Duke of London showroom
April 14, 2023 Plonkers, a pop-up wine bar set up in a temporary space inside Duke of London, has decided to stick around until the end of summer. Originally, Christine who manages the bar, had no fixed idea of how long she would remain in what she calls the Brentford Riviera but now has signed up to keep the space until September. It is a seventies style lounge bar complete with leopard print carpet aiming for a super-chic vibe within the classic and supercar hub. As you sip on your wine you can check out the cars and bikes in the showroom. Christine says, “We have an impressive wine list as well as a premium cocktail list including our fan-favourite signature Negroni. We have regular DJ nights and as our bar is very intimate and cosy, we open out into the Duke of London showroom which doubles as a dance floor where you can dance the night away under our giant golden disco ball!” The next DJ night will be on Friday 21 April from 7:30pm where Blackbook Winery (an urban winery here in London) will also be coming to do a bar takeover. When the venue isn’t closed for private events its typical opening hours are Friday and Saturday 5-11pm. Plonkers also hosts wine tasting nights once or twice a month.
