Brentford store applying for extension of alcohol licence for every day of the week
The Morrisons store on Brentford High Street has made an application for an extension of its licence to sell alcohol off the premises until midnight for seven days a week. The store currently has permission to sell alcohol until 11pm and it is understood that Morrisons want the extension in place to take advantage of increased sales during the Christmas period. A similar application has been made for their store in Hounslow West. A spokesman for the store has stated that the application is for a limited period and that the extended opening hours will finish after Christmas but there is no indication that this is the case on the application form submitted to the Council. The store is currently open from 7am - 11pm from Monday to Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sunday. The application is for 6am - midnight every day of the week. Comments on the application can be sent to the Hounslow Licensing team at Licensing@hounslow.gov.uk and must be received by 17 November. The site on which Morrisons is located was recently purchased by a developer and it is understood that an application to redevelop the site will be submitted next summer. October 30, 2015
