A 69-year-old man from Brentford has been charged after what police are describing as a large quantity of firearms was found.

Christopher Thomas Kedge faces 14 separate charges following the discoveries made at two properties in the borough of Hounslow in April 2021 and February 2022.

Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Trident) carried out searches after a man was found to be in possession of a firearm.

The charges include possession of a smooth bore revolver and a shot gun with ammunition.

The arrest was made following what the Met has called a complex operation. It says the public should be reassured by these seizures and its strong commitment to making London’s streets safer by removing these dangerous weapons.

Mr Kedge has been bailed and a trial date has been set for 29 August 2023 at Isleworth Crown Court.
