Police are asking for the public's assistance following the violent robbery of a woman.

The incident occurred on Saturday 24th November at 12.30am. The victim, a 20-year-old female, was walking along Windmill Lane in Osterley when she saw a black vehicle - possibly a Vauxhall Corsa with lowered suspension drive past.

The vehicle drove past her again at least twice. Eventually the car stopped just ahead of her. A man then grabbed her from behind and covered her face with his hand. The woman screamed and was told repeatedly to be quiet by her assailant.

He then pushed her to the ground and took her bag, first looking inside it before running off and getting into the car which then drove off.. The bag contained keys, money, credit cards and a mobile phone. in the direction of the car and got in the car. The woman sustained a cut to the nose and the left eyelid but did not require hospital treatment.

Her attacker is described as a black male aged 21 years, 6ft 3", of medium build, wearing a black hoodie, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
