Star Wars actor Daisy Ridley on location filming new thriller

A large film unit has recently been filming outside Syon House leading to some local speculation that it was once again being used for a location for Bridgerton.
In fact. the grounds have been taken over for a new British film featuring Star Wars actor Daisy Ridley.
The 30-year-old who was born in London plays the role of Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker.
As well as appearing in the new film, which is called Magpie, it is based on a story that she came up with and the screenplay was written by her husband Tom Bateman.
It tells the story of a father who is chaperoning his daughter while she is making a film his wife is at home with their new-born baby. However, he soon finds himself falling in love with the star of the movie.
Daisy Ridley has described the film as ‘Hitchcockian’ with a plot that will keep filmgoers guessing until the very end.

A large crowd assembled to see the filming in progress, it being the half-term holiday, but tight security kept people at a distance however they did confirm what was being filmed.
