Due to Coronavirus festival will have to wait a year
On behalf of Brentford Voice we’re very sorry to have to inform you we have had to postpone the proposed Brentford Canal Festival which was due to be held on the weekend of June 20/21 for reasons which we’re sure you’re fully aware of.
Following consultation with the local authority, and government event and public gathering legislation on the Coronavirus pandemic, it was determined that to hold an event on the scale we were intending is untenable and would pose a threat to public health, as such we cannot proceed.
Therefore, on behalf of Brentford Voice, we would like to apologise for the cancellation, especially to those of you who have already committed to this event. Unfortunately, the current circumstances prevail and every precaution should be observed and made in attempting to limit the spread of this devastating virus.
For those who of you who had expressed an interest in participating in the Canal Festival we thank you immensely for your support, and thank you for your understanding of the situation. We very much appreciate the time and enthusiasm you showed in creating this event, and whilst through circumstance it won’t be happening this year, this is a postponement and not a cancellation, and we shall be looking to make the Brentford Canal Festival happen next year in 2021.
We very much hope you want to be involved in the Brentford Canal Festival next year if so do please let us know, and do let us have any thoughts you may have in helping make it a memorable event. We’ll keep you updated later in the summer as to a new proposed date and provide you with a full update of our plans as we go forward.
Once again do please accept our sincere apologies and we hope you understand our cautiousness.
Do please follow government guidelines throughout these uncertain times and stay safe.
