Leaves Chiswick with proposed new cinema still on hold
Cineworld (which also owns Picturehouse) has announced that it will depart its headquarters in Chiswick to move to Brentford.
Cineworld is to locate its UK headquarters at Vantage West, the 12 storey office building between junctions 1 and 2 on the M4 that lines up with the view from Kew Bridge. It is reported that Cineworld will take around 18,000 sq ft which will include a private cinema. Vantage West is already home to Agfa Film. It is being refurbished, and will also boast a gym and a restaurant. Cineworld owns Picturehouse, says it is still waiting to proceed with the proposed new cinema for the former Ballet Rambert site on Chiswick High Road. It is understood negotiations with the landlord of an adjacent building are still continuing. June 3, 2016 |
