Uproar as Trees Felled on Ballymore Site

Petition to save the trees now over 1000

Although Ballymore are not going to start building phase one of their development in the immediate future, they have started felling a number of trees on the waterside.

A petition was quickly started by residents of Town Wharf who live on the boats and maintain their own community gardens to stop the felling of trees this Wednesday.

This has (so far) been postponed and it is hoped a meeting can be arranged to discuss the need to cut down these trees so far ahead of any construction and at a time of year when young birds are still nesting. Ballymore have been asked for comment.
