Pedestrian Killed on A4 Great West Road in Brentford

A man, believed to be aged 22, has died after being hit by a car in Brentford.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision which occurred at 3:51am on the Great West Road at the junction with Brook Lane North underneath the Chiswick Flyover.
He was still alive when found by police officers who were dealing with an unrelated matter. An ambulance was called and a London's Air Ambulance helicopter also attended but, despite the efforts of paramedics, they were unable to save him.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
His next of kin has already been informed.
Road closures were put in place around the scene.
Enquiries are being led by Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
